Adam Cates has held faculty and guest positions at New York institutions

Pace University, Broadway Dance Center, 

Steps, The Growing Studio, Broadway Artists Alliance, and others.

He is a founding faculty member of Commercial Dance Intensive and Dancers Inc. convention tour, and has guest taught at conventions, intensives, and private studios across the United States, Canada, Spain, and Bermuda.

Adam is the author of the best-selling

industry guidebook for young professionals The Business of Show. He has been an invited guest artist-in-residence or guest lecturer at NYU, Marymount Manhattan College, University of California-Irvine, Texas State University, University of Nevada-Reno, University of Alabama-Birmingham, The Hartt School, Ithaca College, Children's Theater of Charlotte, and Theater Arts Preparatory School.

age, Adam’s classes have proven popular

with kids, teens, and adult professionals alike.

Adam holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College.
